The merry, merry month of May was bustling! There were the usual and excellent entertainers, The Estelle Kelly Singers and Dancers, singer Ken Sosa, accordionist Bob Monticelli, and harpist Angel. A little something for everyone.
Rabbi Moshe presides over Friday Shabbat dinner service. Very comforting.
Welcome to our two new residents, Frank and Rocco. Take a moment and introduce yourself.
Happy, happy birthday to Bayview Villa’s eldest resident, Frances, who just celebrated her 100th birthday! Many relatives and friends came with gifts and flowers and cake and balloons for this very special day for a very special lady.
Our Spring Speaker Series featured Dr. Eric Shapira whose topic was, “Eight Sacred Truths,” for healthier and happier living. He stressed the importance of giving back to others, exercise, and connect, and to try “neurobics” to keep the mind sharp and healthy. What a treat to have Dr. Shapira, thank you!
Thursday, June 20th, will be the final talk in the series “Planning Ahead.” This talk will focus on the importance of making plans for the future with Kelsey Stiles, C.L.P.F. from Lassahn Fiduciary Services in San Mateo. The time is 6:00 p.m.
We have had jewelry making, current events and sing-a-longs. Lunch time is often entertained by Bill G. wife, Evelyn, who plays the piano and a good one at that!
Are you struggling with grief, loss, or caring for an aging loved one? Do you know someone who is? The third Thursday of every month is Bayview Villa’s Family Caregiver Support Group held at 3:00 p.m. We encourage you to take part in this helpful group, and to bring a friend.
Our talented staff created hand crafted necklaces made from colorful beads for every mom for Mother’s Day and presented greeting cards to every female resident, touch of class!
The ice cream social still goes on every Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for family and friends. Great way to spend time with your loved one, talking and laughing over this cool treat!
The Dining Room is sporting a new look, checkered red and white, and blue and white tablecloths. Very patriotic!
Everyone please remember June 14th. That’s Flag Day. Fly Old Glory in honor of this great country and the men and women who fought for our freedom.
